Fohat's Profile

Grown up with electronic music pioneers like Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze or Jean Michel Jarre in the 80's, I discovered Psychedelic/Goa Trance around 1993 and found within this style my musical niche I am still hooked on. After a long time of just visting parties and festivals I decided to develop my own point of view how music has to be presented and started Dj'ing in 2001 as one of the first Laptop DJ's worldwide performing Psytrance. Meanwhile I am combining my Laptop DJ Setup with CDJ's so that I can stay as flexible and creative within my sets as possible.

Trying to get more out of Psychedelic Trance I am always pushing the envelope of Industrial Music as well as EBM or other music directions. It is well decribed and known as Twilight Trance. Intelligent hard'n heavy nighttime music, always in a steady flow, never boring or just predictable. The last three years one could see and hear me also spinning Morning Psy or even Progressive Trance when it came to late morning/daytime bookings. Within this styles I try to keep my sets on the emotional side of things offering a unique flow with a melodic approach.

One could see me playing already on all kinds of parties and festivals all over Europ like in Spain, France, Switzerland, Austria, Slovakia, Czek Republic, Hungary, Croatia and for sure in his home region Munich and the rest of Germany. I shared the stage e.g. with Sirius Issness, Space Tribe, Highko, Naked Tourist, Braincell, Mr. Peculiar and Polaris just to name a few.
